Jack / Meth Leppard (Grey Water Collective)

Summer of 2017 was rather eventful for Aussie Grinders Meth Leppard. From touring the US and playing both Maryland Death Fest as well as Summergrind Fest. To releasing this monster split we present to you today! And they are joined by one of Hungary's finest Grind acts, the mighty Jack! The front cover of this masterpiece depicts an almost zombie like Crust punk with his dog standing at a stop light on the corner of Eat Shit Boulevard and Die Avenue as a city crumbles behind in chaos and fire behind him. Starting things off with the Jack side of the split, we don't have to even wait to be beaten to a bloody pulp. No audio samples, just straight forward gut punching Grindcore from front to back. These 4 gents really know what any true Grind fanatic would want served up to them steaming on a platter. The combination of low growling yells and shrill pissed off screams meld perfectly and balance one another out. To say that Jack are anything short of amazing is underestimating them. Now, here's a band I'm sure many if not all of you are familiar with. The finest 2 Piece Grind and a Biscuit combo to come from Oz, Meth Leppard! Starting things off a little bit different from their counterparts, we are greeted with an audio clip of a young man speaking in Spanish, possibly reciting a poem? Then like a flash from an atomic bomb we are hit in the teeth with full frontal Grindcore! The Meth Leppard boys sure know how to make me wanna mosh even by myself as I sit here writing this. Every song from both sides of this split resonate well and the feelings of pure aggression and rage will not subside in you for some time. Vomi Noir / Halitosis (Septic Aroma Of Reeking Stench)

Fuck! This is a real present for all gore fans… it`s even hard to find the right words to describe how disgusting this split is, haha! When I was listening to this split I got the impression of a million maggots swarming in my head. Shit this split is so crazy! But let’s looks closely at each band. First band on this split is Vomi Noir from France. These dudes started not so long ago (about 1 or 2 years) but they already get all the attention from gore lovers. Low, dirty, fast goregrind with distorted beast vocals (if you want a short description). That rotten madness can melt your brain… The sound of the guitar and bass is so juicy and slimy. Also the blast beats sound old school in a way. And lastly the demonic vomit roars, with them this record sounds so fucking evil. But that was only the noise side, let’s look at the skin of this tape. This art was made by Pierre (Blue Holocaust and also Vomi Noir). I really don’t know what the character did, but he was punished so violently. This ugly deformed body was drawn with so many details… and this creepy art looks fantastic. Next are the Hungarian punks from Halitosis. Oh boy they started with a slow and heavy intro… I definitely love it! And then comes a big portion of groovy goregrind with some punk smell. “Tupa tupa” beats are changing to blast beats, and vice versa. Heavy sound with lot of low frequencies will drill your brain. Of course there are many ugly creepy kinds of vocals (which are the main part in gore genre) and you will also find some samples from different news programs and other stuff. Their noises are great but I find nothing interesting in their cover art. This collage is so simple and contains many meat food (and unfortunately that's all). Rating: 9/10 Vomi Noir Halitosis

Father Bluebeard - Gore For Joy (Into the Rave Corpsoration)

So, looks like there is +1 in nasty hungarian bands squad. Please welcome the new, but cool team called Father Bluebeard! There is some grindcore boom going on in this country for last couple years. I am not sure what is the reason behind this, but I definitely like it. Something dark, heavy and filthy is hidden behind that sinful cover art. Looks like guys have very serious goals according to their debut work. Let's try it out! First thing that hits your brain is awesome buldozer sound. Seriously, Peti Kulcsar (not sure who it is, but I would shake his hand) made really nice sound. There is just enough rawness, nice pressure and ass-kicking lows. Next, there are tracks, they consist of cool components as well. Heavy mid-tempo, lots of fast and slow riffs. Rhythm-section is rock-solid and works as a clock. Guys also use various types of vocal - clean and distorted growls and screams. I feel some influence of polish veterans Dead Infection in music of FxBx as well as some old raw death metal a la Autopsy. And, to be honest, I did not manage to fully get the whole tape from first attempt, I had to listen to it several times, which is actually very good. Almost forgot to mention that this tape has lots of audio samples taken from various murder investigation records, e.g. there is a record of Dahmer's case...
