Sete Star Sept / Gamera Tempura ( Nuclear Alcoholocaust)

No offense intended towards SSS and their fans, but I was more looking forward to hearing the mysterious Gamera Tempura on this split. There is no info on these guys, I haven't found anything at all, no contacts, no recording date. After listening to this diy tape, I can say the following things. Both bands play off hand, but their choice of instruments is slightly different. Sete Star Sept as always make noise with the help of bass and drums, but Gamera Tempura are using guitars instead of the bass. I couldn’t hear much difference between these two bands, except that the GT filling was a little bit faster and more painful. The Japanesse stayed true to themselves. This cassette is full of blast beats, noise and screams. If you are tired of Elton John songs, bored by Slayers' "Raining Blood" , and you want to hear something dirty and noisy, feel free to stick the cassette into your tape recorder!

Cute little Gamera (relative of Godzilla, if you don’t know) is not the only peculiar thing about the artwork on the cover; all crossed out notes on the cover are drawn by hand! (I wonder how much time the Chief of Nuclear Alcoholocaust Rec had to spend on it? :)

Sete Star Sept – Elite Kill All (Nuclear Alcoholocaust Rec)

Sete Star Sept reminds me a Godzilla from old movies, where Kaiju King kept coming back and defeated new enemies, as for our noisy duo they keep is returning to us with new records!) It was recorded more than 3 years ago Elite Kill All will be a great noise meal for all noisecore maniacs. Despite the fact that this material not fresh... it’s pretty robust and rad. Guys from SSS show then in their best way (they almost sound like on Gero Me LP), the whole material is very diverse and the sound isn't sloppy. Also this stuff full of different rhythms pictures... There is a continuous noisy pieces, which are cover and crush you, also you can hear here some fun parts with clearly visible riffs. It has something fast/slow, in one moment guys that trying to get a maximum speed but then they switch to a lower gear, well it’s what SSS like to do :) And from myself, I can only add that this material is very successful, it is not boring and very invigorating.

If you look closer on this cover you may see that this artist painted our bustling duo in manga style (in case if somebody didn't understand they looks like an anime) and it looks pretty darn cute)

Snuffx - Disco Graphy part 1 & 2 (Nuclear Alcoholocaust Rec)

Many of you probably know that India is a very overpopulated country with a lot of ancient traditions and with a very dirty river Ganges (in which hundreds of corpses float) ... But few of you have heard about the extreme bands in India. And in fact they are really little in numbers, despite the fact that India is one of the biggest countries in the world. Today I will try to tell you in detail about one of the very interesting Indian noise formations. This noisy bunch of pain consists of two people.First of all I find it very nice and exciting that the guys play live instruments, there is no synthetic noise. Within a couple of years, the guys have created and released many songs, most of which were pretty cool, but sometimes (well, shit happens!) there were some shitty ones too. Today I want to introduce you to two tapes, which include the entire legacy of Indian snake charmers. Both tapes have the same covers and contain all the records (although nobody kept a chronological sequence of releases, like the others do, but it's alright) that guys managed to record to this date. The noise that SnuffX make would be much appreciated by fans of noisecore and noisegrind. But there are a lot of different releases, and also a lot of diverse material. There are also a couple of tracks in black noise metal style, and there are some powerviolence pieces as well. In simple words, the thing that these guys are doing is not a simple dull noise, which does not cost anything; they experiment a lot, and this is what I like the most.

PS: to be honest, I somehow forgot to check how long all this double discography goes, but I think that it is more than enough for a small noisy cassette party with beer and freaking whores, haha!

Striver / Vengeance

Magenta, Yellow, and Black... these colors match nicely and are making facade for this split. Very pleasant and unusual layout and design (like I've seen on the split Vengeance / Jugular Scars and nowhere else) will appeal to those who like to savor not only the musical part but also the visual side of releases. It was a pleasure to find this French-Canadian split in my mailbox. I think this little release is not getting enough attention, and many people never heard of it. But we'll fix this situation!

Haggus - Mince The Meat Monger (Nuclear Alcoholocaust Rec)

And we continue to review creations of Californian mince bastards from Haggus. Today we listen to their second work called Mince The Meat Monger. As you know these Oakland trio advocates for animal rights, so I guess thats why they chose that photo for front cover. All those pig corpses on the hooks and also those of Inspection verify the quality (if I understand it correctly of course)... all of those pushing you for some thoughts. But if we will speak about a color scheme, I can definitely say that is pretty nice, it`s simple but looks very good. In the music part guys did not invent anything new after debut demo and stayed in their own environment. Middle tempo rhythms, distorted vocal, low and dirty guitars (the sound is nice filthy and sticky). But most of all I liked the title track, self-titled «Mince The Meat Monger». It has so much fun so it just explodes out of that song! Not that further tracks are boring or sad, not at all, next song has the same dancing and laughing mood, but first song hooked me the most... probably it`s becouse that silly (that voice without distortion) vocal part in the beginning.

Haggus - 4 Sonx Demo (Nuclear Alcoholocaust Rec)

Today I want to turn your look to sunny California. It`s time to recommend to you (of course only for those who don't know this band yet) sloppy chops in masks - Haggus! These trio from Oakland love the animals but really hate humans and thats way they use in all their covers pictures with different (cute and not too cute) dead human bodies))
And we will start this familiarization from their first work from "4 Sonx Demo". It`s pretty short tape (only about 4 minutes) in which all the guys showed what they are capable of. As it often happens, precisely on demos bands show their the best material and (in my opinion) this records is one of the best which Haggus have. Literally from the first riffs you plunge into the atmosphere of full disgrace and total fuckup:) Cheerful middle-tempo rhythms will make you dance. Distorted vocals added their own note of stench in this thick. Those guys are a big fans of mincecore (I guess everybody of them has an Agathocles shirt in thir cupboard, hehehe) it pretty felts in their songs. And also it is very noticeable trace of the good old punk and it`s make this primitive noise lively as a grig and cockahoop.
