Final Exit / Sedem Minut Strachu (SPHC Records)

It`s very hard to review Noise releases, during the years I have not had the chance to meet many of the original and interesting Noise bands. But, this 7” is one of those special and catchy releases. We have here Final Exit from Japan and Sedem Minut Strachu from Slovakia. Noise lovers must know both of them; they are pretty unique and original. SPHC Records (located in USA) released this noise in vinyl format. This lovely colored vinyl is hiding a very high dose of Noise, so be careful and be sure to put the volume on maximum!
I want to start with side A. Japanese legends Final Exit didn't disappoint me. Their diverse Noise cheers me up; this material can be compared to a digital Frankenstein. So many different styles are stitched together. Same with the tempos… fast, crazy and blasting parts are perfectly balanced with slow, acoustic parts. I guess this mess could blow up the heads of fans of modern rap or pop music, but I found this noise very enjoyable.
My old Slovakian friends managed to make something very strange and funny. Their side is dedicated to Cliff Burton; also they have used a few riffs from a famous Metallica song. That sounds pretty fresh in the mix with their brand of Noise. But unfortunately this experiment didn't touch me…

Final Exit – Seasons Are Going And Going.... And Lives Goes On (SPHC)

A great band, gorgeous album... At first "Seasons Are Going And Going.... And Lives Goes On" was released in 2008 (in CD format). But vinyl pervert Dan McGregor decided to re-release this noisy thing on his own label SPHC rec. And so this album got a skin in the gatefold form, and all songs perfectly fit on one side of this LP (so we got single side vinyl). The sound was remastered and sent to the factory. Funny facts: all songs got the names of all calendar months also design contains a beautiful picture of all 4 seasons (I especially like those golden trees in autumn lights). After listening to this album I can say the next: it's unbelievable crazy and strange album, haha!) All songs are different, some of them are harsh and cold, chaotic and mad like "January" for example. Also there are a songs with melodic, lovely romantic guitar moments like "March" or "April", and in "May" we can hear light and nice punk rock (what surprises and confuses, haha). But most of all I want to highlight the "June", the banter on Iron Maiden song just warmed up my soul . And in moments like these (different melodic, sunny fun stuff) Final Exit put their brand sick and evil noisecore. It's pretty pity that this LP is so short...

Final Exit / Erectile Dementia (Backwoods Butcher Records)

Oh guys, this split definetely will cheer you up, even if you are not a huge fan of noisecore! I would lie if I said that these two bands are the most insane bands in Japan and USA but it's 100% true that these guys know how to have fun!)) Just look at this cover art, I suppose the artist depicted his feelings after listening to this vinyl, ahaha! These torn apart faces he drew are so funny.
I think many fans of evil noise are familiar with Erectile Dementia, this project is getting more and more popular after every new release. Despite the fact that many people have been and now are in band, it has an unchangeable core artist - excellent cheerful man with beard - Doug Long. His sick mind generates very interesting and warmed up noise. The most pleasant thing is that he isn't boring and stupid, it is very various-styled (pieces with the sound of synth made me smile wide). There is no excess noisyness of sound which turns everything into a crap, everything here is on its place and sounds very harmonic. And this noise is covered with the mold of old school punk hardcore which adds some flavor to this noisy substance
This split reminded of the old legendary libertine Final Exit. It starts pretty simple, with intro when we can hear the guys connecting instruments and press buttons on the recorder, and then starts pretty nice simple melody...but it's not as simple as it seems to be, then it fades away and the torture of human ears begins, ahaha! In this work, guys not only play noisecore but they also mix it with some punk riffs and thrash elements...in short, it is a very interesting mix of everything possible.

Final Exit – Middle Aged Stinking Cowboys (The Child With No Name)

Cheerful duo from Japan came back to us with some new noise! Work which is named Middle Aged Stinking Cowboys is pretty interesting, amusing, silly and sometimes even very groovy. All the material was recorded in spring 2015 but it was released only now. Take a closer look at this strange cowboy on the cover. Something crazy like that is waiting for you inside. The guys tried really hard to capture the atmosphere of the Wild West, with its endless prairies and the smell of wild buffalo shit. For the intro part, they used whistling wind sounds and the sound of old colt’s gunfire...they also used acoustic guitar sound. In the “Mouton” song, you can even hear some surf rock haha!) But boys don't forget to add their wild and fast brand noise at the most unexpected moments (for example, for one moment, a sad tune is playing then booom! and your eardrums burst from an acute noise attack). This record is ending on a sad and lyric song “Sсat Of Middle Aged Stinking Cowboys”...

In case you are wondering, this EP was released as a collab work of two good polish labels “The Child With No Name” and “Fat Ass Records”. It's a single side vinyl and you will get a small poster with yellow cowboy on one side and Hisao and Ryohei on the other, as a bonus.
