I bet the idea of this split was born before the tour of Faršas and Whoresnation. Anyway this collaboration is tight as hell, together these bands generate pure and killer noise! So first of all let's look at this tape and you know what? It's freaking green! My favorite color, haha! I don't know who, but someone did a nice job with all the designing. A combination of green tape and nasty cover art are creating wizardly look. This atomic green split hosts 28 toxic songs of varying Grindcore madness. Needless to say this release is also interesting because both bands are absolutely different. So now let's check out the noise. First on the line is the squad from Lithuania. I must say that this band is underestimated, but we will try to fix that. First of all, our friends have a unique sound and style, they use no guitars, only super distorted bass guitar. Be careful because its deep buzzing sound will grind you down. The second feature is the vocals. They sound so strange, aggressive and annoying, haha. It reminds me of Anal Cunt's style. But, what is Grindcore without blast beats? That's right we have here nice, punky, blasting drums which perfectly fits with this music. Grindcore is the main base in Faršas noise, but I noticed tighny Powerviolence and Hardcore influences in this crazy mess (that makes this Grind more spicy). Whoresnation is a good example of new age Grindcore, they didn`t stop on only Grindcore, they are using Hardcore, Metal and some Punk elements. Their side was recorded at a gig in Torvi in Lahti, Finland. Yes it's a live recording but in spite of it, it sounds pretty nice. At the beginning of this tape, Pierre talks to the audience like a real black metal man, with gravelly and ugly screams, haha! After that,the guys turned into a twister. Song by song, these bastards are torturing our ears with their ferocious Grind. Hard to handle this hurricane of riffs and blast beats. Unfortunately the guitar sound is a little bit cluttered by the vocals and drums (it's a sad part of this live recording). That raw blasting sounds especially good here when I hear every single bit of the snare and thunderous screams of the cymbals. I bet that Whoresnation kicked asses on that gig, ha! I'm sure that this split is already rare, so if you find this piece in someones distro, act fast or cry later. Rating: Faršas: 8/10 Whoresnation: 7.5/10

Fentanyl Surprise - Accident Of Nature (Deaf Death Husky Records)

It is always interesting for me to examine debut works of young bands. I try not to pick on this or that band when they are making their first steps (there are their further releases for this, he he he). “Accident Of Nature” is just the first work of the American band Fentanyl Surprise. Short but pretty looking cassette in a red case. Hmm, this is a very beautiful design,  I’m so bored with all these human guts design ideas, but here the artist really tried and made a very nice collage (great respect for that). It is also interesting that this cassette was released thousands of kilometers from F.C.'s home in France by the label Deaf Death Husky Records (which means that the band is worth something, or that the chief of the label simply has a bad taste, ahahaha :)). The music of this Florida duet does not dazzle with complex and cunning reefs, guys play a loose mincecore with a goregrind smell. This cassette stands out thanks to memorable rhythms and stupid pig squealing (I'm not a fan of this, but here it sounds good and does not ruin the whole experience), coupled with the yell passed through the distorter. The guitar sound here is more of a punk rock kind, rather than too dense and low, but it's funny in its own way. It feels that the guys had fun when they composed and recorded this material, you can feel the atmosphere of frenzy through the sound. And in conclusion, I can say that Accident Of Nature has a very cheerful sloppy music that would be perfect for your garage party!

Insomnia Isterica / Grossel

This is one of those splits that I've been waiting for a long time. This is because of two solid representatives of European grind core scene (we will talk about them a little bit later). The split was designed by the vocalist of Insomnia Isterica, his style is so unique that it is hard not to recognize it. This time he managed to insert a big amount of cute characters in one picture. All these punk zombies look very funny to me and if you look at them more carefully, you won't find two similar characters.

Switzerland is famous not only for its beautiful landscapes and reliable banks but also for people who play grind, ahah!) Finally, we’ve got fresh record from Insomnia Isterica! And I bet that these guys won’t disappoint you. It is definitely one of their greatest recordings. It’s warmed up, cheerful with armor-crushing songs. They are like the sound of the drill in the early morning smashing into your walls from the outside; it warms up very much :) It is good that these guys mixed fast aggression with slow parts, this is the thing for a good mush, ahaha)

French bandits Grossel step out confidently on the path of the noisy underground. This is their first vinyl release and guys have done their best. They have presented a very good record here. Oh, this is the guitar sound that I like the most in their songs. It is very low and solid... and has simple rhythms that will make you dance and shake your head at full power!) And I should point out the main song here which is called «We Don't Want Your Politics…». To me, it is the best one here, this ridiculous singing on the chorus is a great thing!)

If you have missed heavy raw and warmed up grind core, then I highly recommend you to listen to this split! For better experience - just buy it from labels or the bands itself, to support them and help them make a new material ;)

Whoresnation / Chappa'ai (Deaf Death Husky Records)

No long introductions here! Label - Deaf Death Husky Records. Bands: Whoresnation (France), Chappa'ai (Hungary). So let's begin! French croissant lovers from Whoresnation recorded 4 tracks for this lovely split (last of those is a Looking For An Answer cover). That record is short but has a real energizing ferocity. There was a long time since these guys released something but with this split they're showing us that they are still alive and can kicks our asses!) Their grindcore has a little metal taste, the sound is sharp and very dangerous! And also I love these guys for sincerity in their work and for their freaky speed. Tight bass sound, sharp guitars, destructive blasts beats and those hysterical screams of vocalist... All this is a great recipe for French grindcore cake! And this cake will get to your taste!

Grossel & Sete Star Sept (Deaf Death Husky Records)

Perfect time for a total DIY release! Let the noise be! A printer and some solid paper, a little bit of wonder and a good cassete recorder - that's a formula for simple but nice cassete releases, hehe)) I think this format is 100% suitable for this release because spending a lot of money for pro-tape or vinyl in this case is senseless. I've been looking through the cover of this cassette for some time but I couldn't understand what's depicted there, ahaha, that's why let's move to the noisy part of it. Hm... maybe I should say the sound here isn't of top quality because Grossel have recorded a live (lives usually don't sound good, of course if you are not Iron Maiden lol), when Japanese SSS have recorded their tracks somewhere in basement studio. Frenchmen Grossel is one good item in the long list of mincegrind bands. These guys play very peppy cheerful music. And it is somehow good this is a live recording so you can easily realise how good these guys are in playing alive. Heavy guitar sound doesn't conflict with the cheerfulness of the material (also it is a great feature), In addition we have various vocals, and the skills of drummer are so good they don't need any annotations. No matter this is a raw live recording but for me this is a great example of good live mincegrind! I should say I'm not a huge fan of SSS, those guys have both good and bad recordings. And here is a bad one... It just doesn't catch me. It is noisy but I can't feel a monolith of heavy wall of noise. Everything sounds just like a banal cacophony, but I know these samurais could do it a lot better.

Days of Desolation / Travolta

I must say that this is a very nice split... All together 8 labels have united to make the world see this release, by the way, this 10" had been waiting in queue at the factory for a long period of time (but all those who was waiting for these release won't regret it anyway). The artwork is very cool, I see the hand of the master who's name is Jasper Swerts (Infested Art) just at the first look. By the way, it was a nice surprise for me that this talented guy currently plays in Days of Desolation. Maybe, we should end our fast check, but no, wait, I've forgotten, there is a lyric sheet for all people who love to read the lyrics (it would lessen the hunger of those who want to know about the deepness of lyrical sides of this music). Side A, band: Days of Desolation. Fuck yeah! The guys had kicked my ass just as the first riff have hit, hahaha! Just an amazing introduction which transforms into an aggressive massacre. Guys don't care too much about their arms (or legs as for the drummer), nor their throats. The material sounds very vivid and tasty. There is a lot of agressive parts which make you wonna have some bruises in the moshpit. But this crustgrind is also embellished by the melody, and trust me, this shit suits overall sound very well. Side B, band: Travolta. As far as I understand, this is a debut work of this band (so I won't be to strict with it). For its first baby they have recorded 10 songs (as I know it is one good belgium guy Brame (Vleekskak Rec) is the person who helped to record them). I think that if you look through the band's name you will simply recognise that this is the band close to a new wave of powerviolence. But there isn't so much pv here, guys mix it well with grindcore/fastcore and punk. Quite good recording and the sound too, the guys have made their best in order not to fuck shit up. The material is rabid, aggressive and full of energy. Good speed though the songs aren't very various, but they are cheerful enough. I won't describe all that casual pack of ingredients in such music in details (sorry), but I can say that I really enjoy the bass sound. ;)
