Borstels Rache / Fetus Eaters (Vulgar Records)
Today I want to shed some light on a little-known split from Borstels Rache / Fetus Eaters. Both bands are worthy, but that's pitiful that only few people know them. That's why I've decided to eliminate this problem. Each of these beautiful pictures on the cover describes its band, some is social theme and some is about eating baby embrions. And behind all this polygraphy there is a beautiful, transparent like a glass, vinyl.
Everybody knows hardcore/crust/punk scene in USA, but not so many people know that in there is very solid scene Germany too. Borstels Rache are the hillarious representatives. Their fast crust punk is played in best traditions of the genre. And who cares there's no piece of originality here, their songs catch the listener very hard! And what a great mixture of tractor-sound bass and d-beat, it's a great pleasure to listen to it. Energy from these songs will warm you up better than any coffee.
Fetus Eaters is very strange and wild formation from the Carolina state (which is situated in USA, if you've forgotten). Guys mix everything that is possible in their music. Here you have the filthy grind guitar sound, and some blastbeats. It has slow junkie parts, joke moments, also it has metallic riffs too. The vocalists plays the ape as much as it is possible, ahaha. In short it is some stinky mass that is even hard to define, ha-ha!)

Regurgitated Innards - Feeding the Abominable (Vulgar Records)
As I am looking through releases of german Vulgar Records I always mention that the label chef's taste is quite specific. The label released a lot of old and young bands which the majority of people can't even get into, it is especially common for the young generation of grind freaks. And here you go, last year the debute work of Regurgitated Inhards was released, so we'll talk about it...
One my friends have recommended me "Feeding the Abominable" saying that "it is a very good piece of gore". He made a little mistake calling it a "gore" but in general he was right. The debute work of swedish butchers called "Regurgitated Innards" was a proper thing to me. I'll say it again, don't give a chance to be deceived by all that bloody artwork, gory song titles the pretty monster on the cover - these things can make an illusion that this is something similar to LDOH or Regurgitate but that isn't right. These swedish barbarians mix the reeking mass which consists of the swedish old school death metal with the addition of gory (read - rotten) guts. These guys managed to push out the maximum of old and evil atmosphere from the recording. Here you got quite nourishing and juicy guitar sound...which old school fans will love. Also you will not feel indifferent about the nasty vocals and solid rhytm-section. The sound is raw as much as it should be and I'm loving it. Overall, if you are a fan of old school swedish death and you don't mind american legends such as Autopsy, then this plate is just for you!

Agathocles / Cause Of Divorce
Split Agathocles / Cause Of Divorce looks like football match between Belgium and Germany. And now we will see who has the most robust team and who will score more goals. I dont even remember how many reviews for Agathocles I already made... every time it's more and more difficult for me to find words, hehehe, but I will try. So... It's relatively fresh material from the belgian bandits AG (it was recorded in 2014/15) and it's pretty good. But as for me I think that this material is pretty boring, those songs needs more punch. The sound is good, I heard some familiar (for me) guitar riffs but, god damn, it does not go like their oldstuff((( The most interesting for me was that intro. It`s a dialog from the coolest The NeverEnding Story movie and that was realy nice for me.
The team Cause Of Divorce is a pretty old grindcore squad from Germany. I liked their side more. The sound here is little bit raw but whole material has much more live power than their belgian colleagues have. Cause Of Divorce are cleary in love with old death metal according to their tracks, but they dont overdose with it and it's very nice. By the way for this split guys used their mini album which was unreleased (if I remember correctly). Besides the main ingredients of grindcore (guitar riffs, song structure, blast beats etc) the vocals are really good, guys use 2 types of vocals and they are very complementary to this mockery of sound.
