Patisserie, Meatal Ulcer, Organs Tortured (Soondoongi Records)

Well, probably the first thing that caught my attention and surprised me about this split was the front cover. It`s pretty interesting and quite unusual for a gore release. Snow white riders riding the noble pegasus while making their way through the vast space of the universe. I really don't know if the artist was on drugs or something while making this art but it looks really cool, hehehe)) Even the name of this split «Ride The Wings Of Tomorrow's Universal Gore Friendship» makes you smile.

So, Patisserie had the privilege to be the first ones on the list. These guys play great middle tempo goregrind. But sometimes, it sounds very much like horror grind, with Carcass influence. Rhythm section is very prominent and the vocals are pretty complicated as well. I particularly enjoyed the guitar sounds. They were pretty solid and massive (and there are even some short solo parts as well)… And it all sounds balanced and integral.

Meatal Ulcer will never stop raping our ears. The first thing that you can notice is the band’s trademark bulldozing vocals. It's helluva, the only way I can describe it is like when Godzilla is getting sick, hahah!) Bass, guitars and digital drums are slightly shifted to the background but their rich sound compliments this monstrous & gurgling mass perfectly.

Well, as they say there’s always one scabbed sheep that will mar a whole flock. As for me, I think that scabbed sheep is Organs Tortured. They sound too weak compared to their friends. They make too noisy guitar sounds. Sometimes, you can clearly hear the guitar sounds but it makes vocals fade away. I can't say that material is a total shit, because it won’t be true. However, the sound and a lousy mix - and a good first impression is completely ruined…

SpermBloodShit - Grinding Under The Influence

The Italian trio SpermBloodShit don't tired to conquer new stages and in between from tours, going to the studio. Just two months ago, this vinyl was left the gloomy walls of factory and went to all of those who have been waiting for this release. Grinding Under The Influence completely justifies its name. In this record, guys give the respect to : Haemorrhage, Rotten Sound, Venomous Concept, and even Judas Priest! Covers were very good, and was made in their insane Italian style. Most of all, I liked the cover on the Spanish pathologists Haemorrhage. A cover on the legendary Judas Priest was laugh and surprised and very interesting performance of Breaking The Law, I recommend to listen everything. And in the end all was finished with rock and roll, They made a cover on punk band, called Venomous Concept, that was very good ending of the of "The Influence"! part. In the second side (where was declared some bonuses) guys trown three old tracks, recorded 6 years ago. And to be honest, It did not surprise me, just liked the sound of the snare ... 
Grinding Under The Influence got great artwork (thanks to Mattia Sferrella for this). Also there is a very nice bonus, fans have to evaluate accurately, cover on this seven-inch expanded into a great poster! By the way on this seven-inch, you can check out the new logo, as for me it is much better than old one.

Vulgaroyal Bloodhill/ Sulsa (Soondoongi)

Today two rival Asian countries mount our musical ring: Sulsa from South Korea and Vulgaroyal Bloodhill from Japan. While bands take their operating sites, let’s describe each one in detail… In due order the first one shall be a band which opens the split. Vulgaroyal Bloodhill hold themselves out as new wave of Japanese goregrind which it is, actually. The quartette of blood-stained samurai have brought into being great groove: a grim cocktail of gore, punk and grindcore. Such Hurricane Katrina knocked me dead. I was pleased with variegated sound and composition of those 5 songs, though they aren’t beyond the scope of Vulgaroyal Bloodhill, yeah! 
It was the first time I’ve seen the name of Sulsa. There you have it – they play goregrind in South Korea! Sulsa is also a band of four. Hmm… vast majority of their material is classical gore, gore-noisy between times. Their sound is dirty and hard-hitting! This obscurantism pleases the ears. On the whole, I made a great point when I heard these guys, I will keep tabs on their music. Finally, a few words about design and label. Split springs from loins of Korean label - Soondoongi, kept by the bassist of Sulsa. The art is interesting; it seems to be a shot of black-and-white movie. The back is inwrought with Onibaba (a witch). 
Of course, not everyone will see the true value of such a simplicity, but I am absolutely satisfied. This is what I say: if you’re beglamorred by goregrind and you take its modern tendencies adequately, you will like this split.
