Haggus / Inopexia / Pulmonary Fibrosis

I really love when a few nasty bands gather together and do splits or compilation or whatever. Originally this is an old split, it was released on tape a year go. Hard to understand why, but that wasn`t enough for the bands and labels, so they decided to release a vinyl version of it as well. This fresh release has different cover art and was released on a heavy one sided LP. The new art is so fucking cool, it looks a million times better than the old cheesy corpse art, ha! The guys from Rudolph (Рудольф) band did a great job, this mutilated monster looks bloody good! Blue background, black and white characters and band logos together they look fantastic! The autopsy of the visual side is over, now let`s dig in and cut some pieces from this noise. First blast, first riff belongs to Haggus! The American Mincegore tornado from California. Groovy, dirty, punky and full of all of the fun that Haggus usually has. Goofy riffs, simple structures and loud sound will grab you face first and pull you in the pit. There is nothing special about the guitar sound or the distorted vocals, but together they create a very great combination. Oh yeah, the hellish sound of the snare, it almost makes me deaf, haha. Russian Noise Grinders Inopexia are second in line. I've known these fucker for many years, and all the times they have suffered from line up changes. I'm glad that these troubles did not stop them. Maybe this material does not have the best sound, but it's definitely rad! The crazy blasting is literary melting my mind. The guitar is heavy and has a low tone, its buzzing sound fits really nice into this mess. And yes, this band uses pitch shifted vocal too. Pulmonary Fibrosis is closing this bile vomiting party. French Grinders know how to create high quality bulldozer noise. After all they have more than 20 year of experience, hehe. This part has all the main attributes of good Goregrind. Machine gun blast beats - yep, low and massive sound - in here! Ugly, boiling water vocals - of course. Nasty guitar - done. Every one of these songs has a light taste of LDOH, but that makes this noise even spicier. And the bad stuff, Pulmonary Fibrosis added a piece of live recording…. Well that song sounds awful, haha! I will never get why these maniacs are using live tracks with such minimal quality. Rating: 8/10 Haggus / Inopexia / Pulmonary Fibrosis

Haggus - The First Six Months - A Mincecore Collection (Grindfather prod)

So, you like stories about rotten corpses? Grind? Nasty sound? Crazy fast and fun fucking music? All of the above? Get this huge portion of Mincing Gore! Californian Mince brigade, Haggus brings you 40 minutes of great noise. In this tape you will find songs from their previous works such as their splits with Agathocles and Bob Plant, noise from The Masked Mincer EP, Mincecore Agenda EP, Mince the Meat Monger RP, and debut Four Sonx Demo from 2014! All together 38 songs that will cheer your ass up. The cover of this release just screams “be careful boy, there is something dangerous inside” haha! It truly reminds me of that feeling that some old slasher movies give. Also I like that the chief of Grindfather Productions used colored cassettes for this release, it`s look cute and cool. So what is Haggus? It's a concentrated mess of fun, raw sound and stupidly catchy riffs. This music is far from high quality, super technical stuff, this is just pure and muddy fun. You can dance, you can mosh or you can drink your tea while listening to these songs. The most interesting thing in this noise is it`s a swinging energy of raw Grind and Punk. Distorted crusty guitar sound with Grindcore blasts within the track and ultimately finished off with gritty and sick Goregrind vocals on top (makes the whole sound dirtier). That’s how Haggus sounds… Uncovered, honest, sometimes cheesy and noisy shit. Cystoblastosis - Post-Mortem Examination Of Putrid Corpse (Cemitério Records)

Ah, finally my slow ass managed to take time to take a closer look at this album. Russian Mincegore band Cystoblastosis have grown so much, and now they are pretty famous in noise underground. So after tons of splits, these guys finally recorded their first (hopefully not last) full length album.
Speaking about “Post-Mortem Examination Of Putrid Corpse”, let's open the jewel case and look inside. Well what can I say? The whole design is “classic” and sick, I'm sure that it can make somebody vomit, haha! There is a lot of rotten and disgusting human guts and meat on the main art and inside, if you`re fan of these things then you will love this conceptual smelly design.
32 tracks in under thirty minutes, and not a single one is filler or just an instrumental. That’s right, each song no matter how short or long. Is stuffed with a nice portion of pitch shifted vocals, punky drumming and heavy guitar there is no lyrical bullshit. These Russians know how to play groovy tunes. But I want to be honest, I can't call this album brilliant… This was nowhere near their strongest work in their discography. Sure, there are some good tunes on here, but for the most part it’s just bland. It's simply not as memorable as usual I still like the goofy drums with the hollow sound of the snare. I found few good catchy riffs (but there are many of them that sound to slow, looks like the guitar player was too lazy to play them, haha). But the vomiting roars have a good balance with the other instruments, and they sound great.
Its sad to realize that the first album from Cystoblastosis turned out this way. But, on the other hand it was a necessary step in their history. Because now they are playing really strong shit!.
