Shitgrinder - Eternal Death

Shitgrinder is the most diabolical and fucked in the head band you will hear today! What you’ll hear when you press play is pure unhinged sonic punishment that will become an audio drug that will leave you in a state of disarray. Eternal Death is freaking smashing; with no doubt this is one of the fastest albums from to ever come out of Australia.

After the scratchy intro, heavy riffs start and keep the songs rolling towards the end. This is what I call jaw dropping Grind. The blast beats are alive and fresh, without any digital trigger bullshit. Guitar tone is heavy and its sound isn`t dry at all, which is very important for fast music. This crazy duo used two kinds of vocals, the main ones being caveman growling and second is screaming, and this combination is very effective. Song by song “Eternal Death” strikes painful blows into my mind and ears, I absolutely love it! Maybe someone will find this album monotonous because most of the songs are made with the same structure, but fuck it, this is a Grindcore album. It sounds how it should sound. Like a real grind album.

If you used to be a fan of fast Grindcore, and you were disappointed by the last few albums from Phobia, give this wild piece of Noise a chance, I think your neck will start to ache after the first three songs.

Self Deconstruction / Speed!!Noise!!Hell!! (RSRec)

Mysterious Japan is the land with really weird and unique stuff. But we all love this country not only for Godzilla we also love it for its music. This land is reach with sick talents, which torn up side down usual to us things. Split LP Self Deconstruction / Speed!! Noise!! Hell!! Is one of these interesting, bright and fresh experiments in music. I want to start with Self Deconstruction. Their free style of grindcore is freaking harsh! The riffs are crazy chaotic and fast, same with song structures. The drumming is mind-blowing, the guitar grind and blaze with massive precision and the vocals are crazy as hell. Throw out the melody, and these elements combine to form a landscape that is fast and ultra-brutal. Just the way how grindcore should be. I caught few moments of free jazz here, that was strange but fits perfectly into this sound massacre. The end of this side was unexpected and positive for me... these freaks played a weird Motorhead cover (Iron Fist song) and ended with remarcable riffs from Iron Maiden, ha! Speed!! Noise!! Hell!! starts with slow, dirty and atmospheric intro which is good introduction into their fast and jaw-dropping punk! God damn, here is so much furious tunes and rhythms… each song sounds so aggressive and savage. This hardcore punk make headbang me a lot, hahaha! The string instruments sounds a bit messy, I mostly hear bass, drums and frantic screams, but that not a bad thing. Speed!! Noise!! Hell!! take your soul with it powerful energy! In most respects, this is a not standard, albeit solid piece of new wave grindcore and punknoise split. Rating: 8.5/10 Self Deconstruction fb Speed!! Noise!! Hell! bc

Le Scrawl - Eager to Please (Regurgitated Semen Records)

There are some moments in your life when you want to sit and listen to something unusual and wild… Something that will help you to wipe all of the bad thoughts from your head. I found a perfect recipe for myself; it`s one cup of wine and the band Le Scrawl. This old German band (they were founded in 1989) knows how to twist genres, and they have managed to find a brilliant balance between ska, jazz and grindcore. I bet that many of grind fans don't like Le Scrawl because “this is not true grind”, but that is their problems. For me, “Eager to Please” is one of their best releases. It's so weird, of course in good way; just look at the cover, it’s crazy, isn't it? From the first looks, it's funny but dark colors make it look gloomy; it looks like this image is from an old freak circus.

This buzzing album has 13 songs, and each of them are memorable. The whole album is damn catchy and groovy. I like this bright bass sound in the song “Boiling Point”, and the joint work of wind instruments and a synthesizer is a lot of fun for me. “Antisocial” is my favorite song here – it’s fast, savage, and crazy; I found a lot of moments from old punk school. I like the guitar tone, as it has a nice sound and the guitar does not clutter the other instruments. Everything is in its place, and I can hear every riff, every drum beat, every vibration from the bass guitar, every damn synthesizer key, and every note from the wind instruments. And yep, I didn't say anything about the vocals yet. Mario (the singer) has a very deep growl which spiced everything above and gives good notes of brutality.
“Eager to Please” is a piece of magical noise; this album has many sides (it has some fun tunes as well as some sad ones) and if you love weird music, you will definitely find something for yourself in this music.

Scum Human - S/T (Regurgitated Semen Records)

Regurgitated Semen Records have really found another great band from the far land of Canada! If you like your music to be insanely fast, with crushing slow/fast riffs, and loud vocals, then “Scum Human” is for you! The guys from Vancouver managed to create a powerful and violent machine. The unit definitely stands out from all of this weak mess of young powerviolence bands. But, from what I can tell, they are playing something unique. Scum Human's music isn't really trying to do anything more than uphold the established tenants of the genre. Fortunately, they know how to write PV/HC and write it well. Their songs are short, punchy, and packed with atonal, gnawing riffs, half punky, half blasting beats. I caught a lot of good pieces on this EP, which is crowded with solid portion of energy. Classical loud and yelling vocals increase the atmosphere of this small work. Every song is damn wild… Slow parts are switching to fast and then repeats endless of times (and that could make a mess in your head, hah). I listened to all 10 tracks in one breath, this recording session sounds totally alive, and it could bite. The design of this self titled vinyl is done in the usual (for this band) way. Guys use and old (?) white and black photo of of a guy who is slowly dying. His neck is cut with a knife and the blood is slowly flowing down. I must say this is a gloom and doom filled picture but, it perfectly fits to this painful music. Rating: 8/10 Scum Human bc Scum Human fb
