Alternative Record Label is a small DIY label from Germany which is 100% dedicated to underground noise. Established in 2013 with a passion for extreme and nasty music. Mostly oriented on supporting noise, grind, crust,but also various other subgenres. G.I. Joke ‎– Discotape (AxRxL)

Holy cow! I did not even realize that GI Joke has already existed more than 10 years… That`s pretty impressive. If I remember correctly the main man in this band is sir Nils (Agathocles), and he is the only unchanged band member… This tape is heritage of his project and of course this nasty tape contains all of the bands records which were made during band activity. 31 songs were collected together, 3 labels released this tape, and many noise maniacs got this tape in theirs collections. Since these songs were out of the head of an AG member, it is quite logical that most of the material sounds pretty close to AG (rhythms, structures, sound etc)… The most prominent is the early material. Yes it has a very dirty sound but these songs are great. Belgian Grind brutality overcrowdeds this discography… barbaric blast beats, raw guitars and disgusting vocals. Nils and his boys did a great job but this stuff totally is not for Nasum fans aahahaha! And one more thing, it is felt that this cassette was recorded by a duplication machine so the sound lost some high and low frequencies (but it's normal for duplicators it's difficult to set up them). By the way at the end of this tape I find one hidden track (good small present for us). Rating: 7.5/10 Official site

Tenchu ‎– Discography 2014-2016 (AxRxL)

This is a small diy tape from a small diy band... A dark cover with an ugly yet adorable corpse (or maybe it`s some kind of monster, who knows?). This release is like a container full of dangerous residue. It`s kind of the heritage of Tenchu. This collection has all their records which they recorded over 2 years, all material from demos, splits and live recordings as well. Almost all material is different by it`s sound. Everyone can find a record to their own personal taste. For example the first demo work is so dirty and noisy... It seems that these guys recorded that one in the someones basement. Also these live recordings are muddy too, but the whole picture is good. Personally I dove with pleasure into the material from the splits with xAbruptx and Happy Pill Trauma. As for the songs themselves... Its pretty hard to describe that. Many of them are diverse... I mean just listen... boom-bam, here is some dirty and dreadful sludge, and then some loud grindcore. Bang! And here is some crusty noise. And obviously you will find theres a lot of mad experiments... These guys tried almost everything, haha! A small subtraction is that the songs are repeated (with different sound of course, but anyway thats not so good)...
For myself, I realized that I like these kind of releases. I really like watching the changes which occur in the band throughout the the years. Rating: 7.5/10 Tenchu bc Tenchu fb
