Compost - Vegetable Goregrind (Discography 2008-2013) (Eyes of the Dead)

Vegetable Goregrind is the summary of all work done by the italian grindheads from Compost. I love such things because you don't need to search all discography release by release, to dig bunches of distros or to search zipped sound around the Internet. The very interesting part in this discography is that the main thing here is an unreleased album, and the others appear as a bonus. The order of releases here is somehow strange too, the disk begins with the last work and finishes with the demo, such a trip into degradation, hehe) The artist had tried to keep with the main theme of the album and he has done his job good. These vegeterian monsters are so strange. I could definitely say that no one have never done such thing. (or I just haven't ever seen it). But I have to notice that banana isn't a vegetable, the artist made a few mistakes, hehe)) In the booklet they listed the music which had influenced them heavily. Here is everything, from gore monsters Regurgitate and Dead Infection to insane Anal Cunt. I should say that everything they have listed I hear in their music too. I like the album "Vegetable Goregrind" for its sound and sick material. I can hear the mixture of different grind styles. And maybe the main specification and the most attractable thing on these 21 tracks is the specific sound of the snare drum, love this shit so much))) Every next release is getting more interesting in its own special way. The material from the split with canadian Archagathus is not any worse than an album, the same gory fun there. But the songs on the split with Insomnia Isterica differ very much from the other stuff. The sound here is dirty and noisy, but I love it. It's primitive, funy and raw. Next, the material on the split with my countrymen Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium differs with its noisyness, here you can strongly feel the influence of Anal Cunt and Agathocles))) And next, going deeper, split with UMC did not catch me at all, though the cover on Ulcerous Phlegm was not bad. And finally, the first record of these guys, the 2008 demo. Raw, dirty, fucked up sound. But it's important to mention this is the first experience and first songs.

Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha ‎– Tales From The Endoplasmic Ridiculum (Eyes Of The Dead Productions)

It's no secret that music has a huge psychological impact on living organisms. And writing a review (or just listening to some release for the first time) we also spin it in our hands, assessing the design skills of the artist, etc. But over the years I realized that there is some perception differences based on type of release. For example, TxNxFx was released on cassette, which for me is definitely a plus. I am more than sure that if this thing was done on some digipack, I would have sent the disk into the trash bin. But these simple 10 songs sound nice on a tape. Tumor Necrosis Factor - alpha is a one man band. While searching online, I found that it was created, literally, in the laboratory. I think that Jay (this is how this character is called) was a huge fan of examining all sorts of different stuff under a microscope back in school. After all, everything from the song titles and to cover art is filled with this subject. But from a musical point of view, Tales From The Endoplasmic Ridiculum is fairly straightforward death-grind. Although it should be noted that there is a strong flavor of goregrind as well. This one man band reminded me what Carcass and Haemorrhage were playing in ancient times. Damp sound, few solos, simple rhythms. Everything could be listened to without any disgust, I would say that is quite nice. I can not say that these songs are catchy, but they are definitely not shit. A nice bonus for me was the fact that all the instruments were recorded live. Rating: 6.5 / 10

Intestinal Disgorge – Lurking In The Void Between Dreams (Eyes Of The Dead Productions)

Till now I've remebered Intestinal Disgorge to be sapheaded noisecore players, who sucessfully mix noise and gore. Once the guys got spastic and started playing something odd. I'm not a huge fan of what they do now... but if you enjoy the album "Let Them In" you must like the fresh "Lurking In The Void Between Dreams". I would even say that the last one is kind of a follow-up of the previous release. All here is dismally atmospheric: 21 tracks will extensively goof on your ears.
Songs represent a scrapquilt made of hundrends of incongruous pieces - styles and noises are absolutely different. It seems like various compacts were put in a kibbler and then glued together again.
This storm of harsh evil reminds of the sound which comes out when you switch the channels or radiostations quickly. This is what noisefans would enjoy.
