Violent Gorge / Lt. Dan

Okay punks, this day finally came! I don’t even remember when this release was originally supposed to come out… I guess it should have happened a couple of years ago. But anyway, I`m really happy that this shit is finally out! Well let's traditionally start with the visual part of this smelly thing. When I first looked at this picture, what my mind said was something like “A rotting nation can birth only dead children”. I don't know if the artist meant the same but that not necessary. Its an old but nice piece work for Russian artist Jon, that guy has a real talent for this kind of art. Annndd here is a moment what the needle touches vinyl and booom! Dirty powerful blasts from maestro Joe and his guys. I've heard a lot of VG stuff and I can definitely say that this material is some of the best. Intense, aggressive, sometimes stupid and full of good fun. This record has pretty bad sound but no matter what these songs rock! Some swing riffs, fast and slow (dance) tempos will make you crazy. If you`re dirty noise freak then this stuff is 100% for you! If I'm remembering this right this is the last Lt. Dan recording. Well this stuff is pretty nice, raw Mince/Grind… but these songs remind me Agathocles and sometimes Archagathus. I don’t want to say that Lt. Dan is a clone but this material does not have its own distinctive feature. Nice raw sound, simple riffs and tempos which are typical for Mincecore and thats unfortunately all. It's a pity but, this record session did not touch me. Rating: Violent Gorge - 8 Lt. Dan - 7

Archagathus / Lt. Dan (Grindfather Productions, Bloodspit Records)

Love is always beautiful. Love in grind is even better! Love between Canadian lumberjacks Archagathus and American outlaws Lt. Dan gave birth to this wonderful split. It was released in seven-inch vinyl format on the British Grindfather Productions and Russian Bloodspit Records. If you are waiting for something new from these bands, then you can safely ignore this. After all, the guys from Archagathus and Lt. Dan continue to go their own way of noise and screams. By the way, it would be useful to mention that someone made a mistake, and pointed out that the Canadian side must be done at a speed of 33 rpm, in fact, its speed must be 45. So be careful.
Also in the design of the guys did not give up on their principles. There are some cops with a dog and a bunch of cute crocodiles, well, a complete set in general.

Unfortunately Lt. Dan does not exist any more (I almost sure about this. If that not true then please sorry me guys)... and so the only thing that remains for us is to enjoy the material that the band has left. In this split, guys are vomiting out 5 songs with nasty rotten sound. Noisy sound attacks your brain, causing it to shrink. Mostly slow, sometimes fast, this is the Lt. Dan that we like and that we will miss.
Canadian side has symmetrically equal number of tracks. The sound is very similar, but there is some slight difference in this raw mess. Material was recorded in 2009-2012. All instruments are recorded by an orchestra man Dan, Joe helped with vocals only. It is simply impossible to confuse Archagatus with some other band, their sound of guitars and hell vocals is recognized by anyone, even under heavy dose of drugs. Maybe I'm wrong, but this band is a fine heritage of Agathocles.

Haemophagus & Subjugation split 7"

What the vinyl marked with an eight pointed star of chaos and darksome human skulls is expected to be? Right, it's a grim prospect (go piss up a rope, if you go to church every Sunday). The split of Italian Haemophagus and Turkish Subjugation may become a truly trial)) 
I’ve heard Haemophagus previously, but at that time their music was sheerly saturated with grind sound. Now you can hardly notice any. While I was reading annotation to this release, I remarked that an author had compared Haemophagus to Machetazo and Repulsion... to be candid, I don’t think so… The first track is kind of a flashback to monolithic middle-tempo deathmetal, something in the spirit of 90’s. However, "Monsters in Park" smacks of Machetazo, Repulsion, even Impetigo maybe! It’s an exhilarating song with right sound and intensely nice rock’n’roll ending! It’s such a pity, that Italian drunks haven’t recorded any more tracks for this split. 
The next collective unveiled on the spit – Subjugation, is a new blood (they began to make music in 2013). It's worthy of note that their drummer is ex-member of Sakatat! So here you get, as it were, deathgrind: sepulchral rawness of deathmetal and fast grindcore. Both old metalheads and grind freaks will be satisfied. Slow death riffs are interleaved with fast shots, scream is interleaved with growl. By the way, it’s guys’ first serious work, and it worked out very well.
