Last Days Of Humanity & Satan's Revenge On Mankind (Splatter Zombie Records)

It`s gore time! Perverted German label Splatter Zombie Records just released a new split CD with two interesting bands. There are two very known names… But let`s listen to this thing with a cold mind. We should not jump out our pants because of new LDOH and SROM. Calm down my friends and let's sort all this shit. First of all let's face it this cover art sucks… A few logos and capitalized word GORE. But, then inside are two separate covers for both bands and they are awesome. Looking at these bodies on LDOH cover. It`s not disgusting or vulgar, that image just looks perfect (by the way it was drawn by Luisma/Haemorrhage). Satanic goat from SROM looks great too. Especially with one eye, hahaha that beast is so monstrous. On this note we finished our review of the visual part of this CD, now it`s time for some noise!
This split is starting with LDOH. Sadly it's not a new recording, these 7 songs are moldy live recordings that were made in 2006 (more than 10 years ago). I can say that this is one of the best things from this band. If you will listen to this record more closely you will be able to catch some goofy moments (but I guess it`s pretty nerdy occupation). Hmm this recording sounds more like early LDOH (which is good too). Guitar and bass sound is dirty and pretty messy (but it must be like that). Unfortunately the drums don't stand out from the sound wall. Only Erwins vocals, break and fills the entire space. I guess that was a nice show but unfortunately I can't say that this live recording is brilliant.
Next are German savages from Satan's Revenge On Mankind. These maniacs prepared only two songs, these two are really good. First song started with some nice slow groove… and ended with middle tempo dancing rhythms. Maybe someone would say that these tunes are too slow for gore music, but personally I don't think so. The last song is more aggressive, this one sounds more powerful but, with the same dark doom atmosphere. The guitar and drums sound is really good, it`s low and deep… and those satanic distorted vocals are like a cherry on top of the cake. So maybe it`s not the greatest gore split ever, but this release is worth a listen, and of course its worth it to be in your nasty collection. Rating: LDOH 7.5/10 SROM 8/10
