Grind Of The Dead - No Lives Matter

One day I found a small parcel in my mail box… There was no letter inside, only this CD. So I did a small bit of research because I had never heard this band before. So I find out that GOTD is based in Massachusetts and they have existed for some time. “No Lives Matter” is their last work, this one was released a month ago (or maybe a little longer) so it`s still pretty hot. The cover art corresponds to the album name 100%. To simple and primitive? Maybe but it perfectly fulfills it's task. On the sticker (which was on this CD) was written that this album should appeal to fans of Wormrot, Full Of Hell and Napalm Death (newest ND stuff, if I understand that right). Well let's see what these guys prepared for us. Compared to the rest of their releases this one is more grindy. But these noises are far from “classic grindcore”… There is a lot of industrial things and also there is a strong track of deathcore. The whole sound is pretty clear and a little bit modern… but I really like how the guitars sound (that real buzzing madness). Disgusting screaming vocals are especially good (perhaps it's not super awesome but it fits perfectly into the whole picture), but that guttural type of vocal is totally not my style (in my opinion it's odd and extra here). And the biggest thing I didnt like is the triggered drums. They're shitty sound ruins everything… Sometimes these loud beats block off guitar sound… Also the last song is pretty strange (in a good way) it's full of different dialogs and noises. It has a dark psychedelic atmosphere, I guess that this song is a good ending for this album.
