Caged Grave – Demo (Dead Heroes Records)

Caged Grave is a young band from the most famous town on the Australian continent —  Melbourne. Stylistically they are close to powerviolence but with palpable influences from modern hardcore. I can’t say that I heard something special here, though this material is pretty good, sounds a little bit raw but as for demo work everything is very fine... But, apparently, there is something that I do not see because this demo was released by strong and big label Dead Heroes Records. Also I must mention that the vinyl was made according to old standards (with big hole). That standard was used for old automatic players (you could see some of them in the old movies).
I must admit that guys are trying to throw out the maximum evil power into their songs... But, unfortunately, I can't say that these guys grabbed lot of space in my calloused heart :) Here I found many good and interesting guitar riffs. Also their sound is pretty barbed and pleasing to the ear. Powerful bass line and confident vocalist screaming we also put to the good stuff. .. But the best for me here was viscous (but not the fast ones, surprisingly) rhythms, which cling you and make swing your head in rhythm ;)
