Agathocles & Disorder (Power It Up)

This split confused me a little bit...because one year ago the split of these two old and deserved bands have been already released (on the same lable, what a deja vu :)) It seems friendship between Agathocles and Disorder is so strong they decided to release one more split to strenghten it even more. The record we will hear here is a live performance that was recorded in 2014, this split doesn't repeat the previous one (well except for some songs) and it is very pleasant. Also there is totally different cover and it looks much better to me. Belgian side coverart is especially good, the artist made this skeleton of a cop look very stylish. And Disorder cover art reminded me of punk rock that we played in the basements in the 80s.

Agathocles side was recorded at the concert on their motherland in Geel city. I seriously doubt it that these 8 songs were the whole set at that show, it seems to be only a part of the record. But what I can say with full confidence is that I've enjoyed the live version much more than the studio reocording from the previous split. You can feel the drive of thelive show, and the sound is good too! Damn, I don't even remember how many of AG releases I have listened to, but this is a pretty good live record, this piece of noise is one of the best live recordings that these Belgians have to offer!

Travelling Europe and finally making it to Holland, British veterans decided to record their live show there. Well, there have been some pleasant changes and the record sounds more energetic now. Both sound and antmosphere are great too. The old guys please us with some old good and raw hardcore punk! Simple rhytms easily get into your head and make your legs dance. I can't say this is the best punk rock I've ever heard but without a doubt, these guys definitely deserve your attention.
