Look who's back! Spanish gigolos from Nashgul coming back to us with their new album! It's been almost 7 years since their previous one! I guess the main reasons for that was some life business and of course new vocals guy. But anyway guys return with new material. Nashgul don't concentrate to much on recording of full albums (guys prefer to make splits) so that's why Carcava became only second (but very welcome) own child for them. This album consists of 14 fresh and crushing tracks and also it provides freaky badass art! That drawing was made by constant Nashgul artist and bass player Luis Sendón! It seems to me that in this work he reached a new level... details on this eerie cloth are very impressive.
Without a doubt the main feature of this album in thick saturated and dense sound. Compared with previous works, Carcava contains more death metal (it's perfectly felt in drum parts and in guitar riffs). But it's not a modern death metal it's right old school raw death metal! In combination with grindcore shots this mix sounds very nice. It is pleasant to note also the presence of tasty guitar solos. As you may know Nashgul is not one of those bands that is trying to beat the speed records, their music mostly reminds a bulldozer that destroys the old cemetery. So if you drool on the old death and grind from 90th then Carcava is definitely for you!
PS: for american market the album will be released by o Live A Lie Records. European version will be released by Tu Pa Tu Tu Pa Records (vinyl) и Selfmadegod Records (CD).
The latest was a tape version. Spain label Vida Subterranea Records made a great superpack which contains tape, 2 lovely pins and 1 patch.
