I stumbled upon these guys from Texas for the first time. As I remember, Kaliya is some kind of multiple-headed demonic snake that lived in the river. Which was tamed, by the way, by Krishna. But who on Earth knows what they really meant by this name for the band.
The overall design of this digipack also doesn't quite tell exactly about the contents of this CD. Great artwork depicting a huge spiral staircase and the light on top of it (reminding me of the bulbs in surgery rooms).
Intro is kinda confusing, makes you feel like you're listening to some modern death metal. But then comes some solid blasting metallic grindcore. And then again it switches back to death metal with solos, groovy parts, swift guitar riffs and all that stuff. Musically, it's definitely done well, but I can't say these guys belong to the grindcore scene, because it sound a lot more like death metal in every way. But if you're a fan of death metal, then this album is worth giving a listen.
