Well, THAT'S exactly the thing that can be described as AWESOME! Polish label Fat Ass Rec. decided to re-release first album of Australian maniacs The Kill “The Soundtrack To Your Violence”. Australian scene were always standing out, I don't know how, but these guys always managed to make an usual grindcore (and not only grindcore) absolutely new and lively. This album was first released in 2003 on CDs. It’s funny, though, that members of The Kill are huge fans of old horror movies, almost every of their stuff had characters from Evil Dead and The Exorcist on the cover.
The artwork on “The Soundtrack to Your Violence” is all about William Friedkin movie! And if you look closer into the face of the heroine, you realize that she is drilling a hole in your head with her eyes! Hehehe! Also, the vinyl itself isn’t plain at all, even complicated I should say, it is recorded on one side and has a dirty rotten swamp color (looks great on turntable, I swear!). Some may think that this record is a bit outdated and the band now play music much more mature… but I disagree! Yeah, it’s still not “Make ‘Em Suffer” but nevertheless, it’s still kickass as fuck! Pretty metallic sound, and the speed is just how it should be. The guitars kinda reminded me of good ol’ thrash metal like Destruction Kreator. This 13 minutes long album will definitely become to you a great excursion to the world of Australian grindcore wilds. Don’t miss your chance to fill your collection with this outstanding vinyl!
