Faršas - Bėdų Turgus (Besotis Besarmatis)

You know, sometimes you think to yourself that you just sitting on your ass drinking beer being sure that your collection of musical chaos is pretty much enough, you already got the best in your collection, and then BAM! There’s an album released this year that make you jump and mosh in your room, and your thoughts are “HOW THE FUCK DID I MISS THIS?!”
That kind of surprise to me is an album of the band Faršas from Lithuania , they perform literally forcemeat, and their name means forcemeat in Lithuanian. I found them completely by accident and their music is always a honorary guest in my playlist. To be honest, I didn’t even know that there are people in this country who play this kind of music, makes me want to know more about different country’s underground scene. By the way, they perform without the guitars, only bass!
The cover isn’t very obvious, some people standing in the hall, nurses and the patient under the sheet looking at you. I think I can’t understand any of this because I don’t really know the background of this art, anyway, don’t judge the book by its cover, the book itself is what matters, hehe!
Musically, Faršas is a mincecore-influenced vigorous grindcore. Violent crunchy-noisy bass make the sound really solid, drummer is also doing his job more than great, also I should notice different styles of vocals. Great roars mixed with crazy squalls, Seth Putnam’s legacy lives!
Overall, these 11 tracks is a pleasant discovery indeed. If you love good solid grindcore – you definitely should give it a listen.
