Rancid Flesh - The Sick Art ... Some Lessons of Pathology (5 labels)

And once again we are going to the amazonian jungle, where someone is already waiting for us. Today we will review the new ( the second If I remember right) album of brazilian pathologists from Rancid Flesh. And bingo! That's what I expected from these guys! On this album guys return to their bloody gore roots. Unlike previous boring (and too metal) Pathological Zombie Carnage this one have great heavy and rothen vocals (with effects of course) plus fast, sometimes groove guitar riffs. The Sick Art ... 
Some Lessons of Pathology contains 13 tracks, some of the tracks have a really dancing parts (like Removing a Human Brain). All those guitar parts, vocals, bass and even no natural drums sounds very great and sounds like one piece of rotten flesh. All tracks tell us about the different diseases and surgery manipulations with dead bodies,a woman's voice tells us about cancers and other interesting pieces.. Plus all tracks are divided into lesson (from 1 to 13), and of course nice bonuses (audio parts from conclusions on autopsy). and lets see what we got on all arts of this CD. First of all I must admit that painter make a good job and I feel that he had a real joy of painting this sick art. Guide to pathologies like holy Graal there, hehehe... pluto painter conveyed the real morgue atmosphere. 
Of course it's not a big album, we have here about 15 minutes,but maybe it's for the best. Аnyway it`s good gore work!

Rancid Flesh ‎– Pathological Zombie Carnage (Carnificina Records, Cianeto Discos, Terceiro Mundo Chaos Discos, Rapture Records)

Step by step our brazilian friends from Rancid Flesh finally came up with their first big and rotten album. Pathological Zombie Carnage is very different from the previous work of the band. And first of all I need to warn, I will make my view on this album from goregrind side… Well I think that guys are strongly addicted to death metal. You asking me why? That's because this album have a lot of death metal guitar riffs and drum patterns + it's very well manifested in vocals. Hmm what can I say, on this album our friends slightly departed from goregrind. This album shows that guys grew up in their playing practices, guitar sound & technics sound much better and yep, drums are not "alive", but they sound pretty good. Guys prepared on this gore piece about 30 minutes (25 tracks) of new material. It's very nice to hold this CD in hands, well done design, all info and rotten lyrics inside. And I need to say about very lovely front art, artist made classical zombie theme in his own way, without any zombies army, just with rotten and gory parts. 
And now I need to say few words about the cons of this CD. Sometimes songs have too boring riffs... wants to hear more groovy shit! and of course I think that this album needs more gore vocals (ala LDOH) After really gory "Festering Gore... Repulsive Stench".. I was thinking that guys will go further in to the gore... but I was wrong. I can say that I truly don't like their decision, but I'm sure that many will appreciate this album from death metal side.

Rancid Flesh - Festering Gore... Repulsive Stench (Bidule Mandibule Productions)

This review is a flashback-style, we will return in 2009 for a moment, visit sunny country full of beautiful women and fragrant coffee... As you already guessed, I'm talking about Brazil. Today we'll take a look at the duo called Rancid Flesh. These guys perform since 2009, and now we're going to observe their EP called Festering Gore... Repulsive Stench. I remember when I first noticed this band and listened to some of their material, and exactly this record got into my memory firmly. I don't know why, though... Maybe it's because it's not only about death and morgues and stuff like that, but there's a strong spirit of fun and doltness. 
Overall they recorded 14 songs (including cover on Xysma), and it turned out to be pretty cool. Yeah, you can hear programmed drums, and the overall performance is sometimes too dry and rough, but in this case it's even good. They put their soul in it, they wasn't going to make the sound perfect or something, and that's fine by me.
I guess every goregrind band likes to put samples from different horror movies, and, well, Rancid Flesh don't break the tradition here too, hehe!) Also I would like to note raw and punk-inspired guitar sound and two different vocals. And of course the artwork! Fully drawn artwork gets this EP a bonus score, no less. I'm pretty tired of front covers made of photos of dead bodies and limbs, but when the artist come up with something like this, it's always a joy to take a look at.
