Honestly, I was not familiar with this band until a friend of mine insisted that I give it a try. It turns out that this band has a pretty long history. It is very interesting that Gomorrha was quiet for as much as 15 (!) years but the band did not die and now we can see their new child. Gomorrha members were playing various bands (there is also a piece of well-known, in some circles, metalcore band Caliban). Listening to old records of Gomorrha you will definitely notice their love for death metal. So as before, there are many death metal parts you can hear, there are typical guitar riffs, vocals and drums batch for this genre. It`s not bad but I would like to hear more grindcore. And also here you can find some strange metalcore pieces (and I really don't like them), however I must admit, they fit pretty well here. And all those parts sound sharp and wicked and this is definitely a plus. Hm in principle, even the cover of this release hints about what you can hear is not entirely grindcore (although that was written everywhere), but I don't say that this art is bad, artist used interesting idea for this work. As a result, in the end everything looks very nice and atmospheric...
And some last words. After carefully listening to this record, I can say with certainty that it is not my music, sorry. But I definitely know that Kopf in Ketten will be interesting for fans of new grind/hardcore wave.
