Slave Birth - S/T (Lacklustre Records)

Hm, shamefully I must admit I know very little about the "new" capital of Australia. I know that all of government is situated there, and that the city was founded in a period of the World War I - and that's all((( I haven't even had a chance to listen to some bands from there… but I incidentially found this duet called Slave Birth. It appears that the members are two young guys and their self titled demo is the first band's release. I would say that the guys made their best for this demo and the result is a high quality one. And hm… the guys picked very horrorful photos for the artwork...dead sheep (also hanged and cut-throats), a butcher with a knife and an electroshocker...all this is gloomy enough. 7 short songs fill this cassette.7 micro bombs...the energy unleashed by them will blow you up! Straight off, your ears will catch nice quality of sound, it's clear enough and has a drop of raw flavor (very good mixture) No matter that guys are young, they have written their songs with a complete understanding of what they do. This material just strikes out with its fury, anger and power. Slave Birth mix grindcore with powerviolence (this is very angry mix, angry and destructive). A grindcore intencity and pv power will run like a hurricane throughout your brain! These sounds will stay in your ears for a long time after, hahah!
