This is hard but tasty dish... this barbaric meal spiced with hellish hot Greek and Brazilian sauces. Let`s start with this interesting and "primitive" design. The artist used a pretty cool idea, I think we can call this episode historical. I mean this act on this picture, when slave kills his master... this is cruel but full of justice. Also the artist used ancient rock carvings of animals, and this added brutality to the whole arts (that was really great idea).
From Greek land with 7 songs dehuman Stheno is coming ! This time this trio surprised me... their songs contain really many different genres and the sound is so hard and powerful. Okay mostly it`s death/grindcore but drops of black metal, crust and old hardcore punk made this record very rad. Fast grind drums bombardment and tight guitar riffs just crushing everything on their way... crust/punk parts make you swing... Some of these songs were recorded with the guests, here is the list of theme: Jim Politis/The Ghost Notes, James / Facada, Takafumi Matsubara / GridLink. Also I must notice good dark athmosphere whiсh is inherent in almost all the songs. And of course this badass G.B.H. cover... aarrghhh! This portion of hooligans noise can kick your ass, haha!
And now it's the turn for Brazilian savages from concrete jungle - Facada! Just like always these guys dont like to talk they just attack. Attack you with raw blasting and smashing grindcore. The whole sound is pretty dirty and raw but I like that... it`s no too bright but tight. Simple song structures are supplemented with unstopable muddy power and aggression. I especially love a punk stench which envelops all these blasts/d-beats, guitar riffs and roaring screams. By the way it is the shortest part on this CD it`s only 4 songs and about 4 minutes... and it`s pretty sad because these brazilian headhunters can rip your asses apart.

Skunk/Existench split 7"
Hm I think it's already third purely Canadian split that I review this year. But this only proves that canadian scene is growing and nothing can stop it. On this piece of plastic we can see crusters Skunk and old grinders Existench (this is their first record after reunion). Externals of this split look very pretty. Good and sharp social theme (yep today it wouldn't surprise anyone but the artist did a very good job) All this biological remains, worms, chemical factory on background all this stuff designed in best traditions.
Skunk are first one, they begin this split. I think many of you know that Dan Ryckman is playing in this band. This guy is a multi musician he plays on many instruments. And I noticed that in almost all his projects there is a footprint of the main Dan`s band - Archagathus. As for material on this release I really like the sharpness of guitar riffs. Cheerful d-beat picture and mincecore vocals all together make a really good atmosphere and mood. Also there a nice readable sound with droplets of raw rot. It`s just what you need!
Let's turn the page! Hmm pretty interesting, I think it`s the heaviest release of what Existench got so far. Moreover guys just got together to drink and then just was something like "what a hell lets jam!". And what came of it you can hear on this split. I love this dirty grindcore it is absolutely straightforward and aggressive as hell! Guitar sound is slightly noisy but it doesn't affect perception of this record. And to enhance it I recomend you to do the same as Existench, take few beers and listen this shit loud!)))

Jack – Neurozis (Scull Crasher Records)
Listening to the releases of different times, you can admit on a subconscious level that there is some kind of similarity between Jack and Napalm Death, and the point here is not in the sound. With every new release, Hungarian brothers are adding more metal parts to their music. It can be felt especially well on their new album Neurozis.
While holding this CD in my hands for a long time, I was looking at what the artist has painted ... hmm, all those pieces of mutilated human flesh, dead babies and the general style of art reminded me about different releases of brutal death bands of 90s.
Even if the sound has changed a little, the pressure stays on a high level. This album has proven itself well with its punch. It had some good acceptance in the world, the first proof being that Neurozis was released in as much as 3 formats. Each of the 19 songs is like a slap in your face. If you listen carefully, you can catch a glimpse of death metal on this record. But I can’t say that the songs here could be called diverse ... the entire album is perceived more as a whole. The best that I can remember here is the intro, in which you can listen to a confession of drug addict. The confession describes how the use of psychotropic drugs made her accept Satan in her soul (so be careful with drugs, friends;))

Scull Crasher records!
Scull Crasher records
came to life in late 2006 as an addition to No Exit 'zine. Through the fanzine
I had direct communication with bands and labels and I was receiving records
& tapes from all over the world, so the idea of starting up a distro/label
came as a logical next move. The motivation comes from all the bands and
individuals that are part of the worldwide D.I.Y conspiracy.
