Violation Wound / Ruin (Fudgeworthy Records)

I want to start this review off with a warning. This album is not for those of you who hope to find sweet and lovely pop punk tunes or something to cheer your damn ass up. This split is loaded up with very heavy crushing power. Also I should mention that this split is really unholy, starting with the music and ending with this nice cover art.
The green vinyl looks so badass in this black sleeve. That is what I call a robust cover that perfectly fits the noise. All these dead guys look so dark and spooky, main character is pierced with upside down cross… Terrifying image, the artist really catched the whole idea and spirit, and I respect that.
This massive split starts with attack of Violation Wound. In my opinion this band stands out with their approach that they used in their music. Guys are mixing old school punk with moldy death metal and with a lethal end result. Great guitar riffs, powerful vocal section. Bass has a nice loud tune, and the punky drums fit perfectly to everything above. All 4 songs contains a ton of swing, clockwork energy.
Now the second half comes in with old headhunters from Ruin. “Putrid Is My Brain” is the only track here and it's ridiculously heavy. This is really unholy sound of hell, haha! The whole sound is a bit raw and the tune is dangerously low… Savage sound of the bass is the main here, next is ugly roaring and buzzing guitars. The drums are the last on the line, but that does not mean they sound weak or anything like that. This death metal is really scary, slow and grinding. Also, I've felt a good stench of sludge and doom metal. This “music” has the effect of an asphalt compactor to roll you out, breaking the bones and crushing the flesh.
This is a real death metal split, and I'm freaking happy to have it in my collection!

GG Allin And Bulge – Legalize Murder (Fudgeworthy Records)

In punk we trust! These Old n moldy filthy notorious punks are back! American Fudgeworthy Records re-issued a dirty piece of punk history - a collaboration work with GG Allin And Bulge. This was originally released almost 3 decades ago, and of course long sold out. The most remarkable thing on this reissue, is the original covers, which are 28 years old already. Crazy shit, right? As far as I know, the sound has been restored but unfortunately I dont have the original copy,to compare it with. Anyway, it's really lovely to hear something from these wild punk years.Theres no need to spend too much energy on GG himself, so lets just get into the music, which its all about.

This EP consist of two sides: A side - noise, B side - talk. The main song Legalize Murder is a great example of fun, fury and simplicity. Raw sound, full on energy, buzzing guitar and “bam bam” basstone. Goofy drum beats sound extremely nice, and the endless yelling of GG and Co is sweet too. Its how punk must sound, real, uncontrollable, raw and a little bit silly. Next one is “Suck My Ass (It Smells)” and wtf??? this is pure noisecore! Not at all punk… this short track is so primitive and loud, I honestly like it. Unfortunately thats the end of “music” park.B - side consists of GG talking… so, this will proberbly be interesting stuff, for those people who are into GGґs story. You will hear an old radio recording of GG where he tells a little bit about himself.

Blood ‎– Dysangelium (Fudgeworthy Records)

There is no doubt that Blood is legendary and very old. They are loved and respected by many, and Blood has esrned the status of an iconic band. I was very happy when my postman brought me a new parcel with promos from Fudgeworthy Records. There I found their fifth album Dysangelium . Also this edition was released as a picturedisk vinyl (and I must admit it looks very rad). This art with distorted religious themes has an apparent atmosphere of gloom and majesty. Blood are a band that knows how to write songs that are heavy as fuck, catchy and have destructive power (Despite its simple structure and average pace). But let`s talk a little bit about out album... “Blood Pulsation” opens the album with very dark and gloomy energy (this intro is so atmospheric, especially the part with woman singing). It’s like the soundtrack to a really bad day, a funeral day for all humanity. “Adrenaline” starts a crashing part of this release it`s like a hammer painfully smashing your head. This band strikes riff after riff into the listener's mind… Every track done in true old school style. Every song is like wave after wave of heavy distortion and crushing doom. I really enjoyed this old moldy sound, heavy bass and these clean (I mean without any triggers) blast beats. The screams and roars sound so evil and nasty and sharp guitar riffs just cutting piece after piece from your flesh. So if you`re in the mood for something heavy and old, this records will be your best choice! Rating: 8/10 Blood fb Official site

Gonkulator ‎– Reborn Through Evil (Fudgeworthy Records)

Welcome to the category "sometimes they're coming back." It took american psychos from Gonkulator long 10 years to spit out this new full-length stinking bunch of noise. Quite interesting feature of the album is the fact that it is divided into 2 parts, each contains 5 tracks. Baron Side begins with epic music from 70s movie (at least it seems to me that I've heard it somewhere). And then something really evil begins. Certainly, the info booklet mentions that Gonkulator plays noise-black, but in my opinion there's a lot more stuff mixed here. To me there is plenty of good old punk as well. Even if there is no fast rhythm, guys do some good brain-drilling noise. Most of all I like the sound of bass, it sounds like some old metal grinding machine. Cemetery Side begins with a fast rhythm, a sort of raw metal and cave punk with loud roaring vocals. Well, I can also hear some slow atmospheric pieces further (not without noise of course). This side contains most of the old primitive raw black as well. And the end is just noise with sounds of thunder, this vinyl makes it sound incredibly beautiful ... Oh, there is another very interesting fact about this release. It was recorded on the full moon. And even the color of vinyl reminds me of big white moon in clouds (very beautiful and unusual color).
