Krigblast - Power Till Demise (Selfmadegod Records)

Hohoho, let this day become the day of punk rock in Good Guys Go Grind! Perhaps, I may sound stupid (it can't be helped),
but I didn't know a thing about the Texas punk/crust scene till today. As it turned out, the guys from Texas chop punk rock in a very cheerful way as well as they cook delicious beefsteaks! I always take against being nerdy about the hashtags... so, as for me, Krigblast play crust, mixing it with various genres, but play around with them by yourselfs. Their debut release - Power Till Demise, was a pleasant surprise. 14 crust bullets (including a Darkthrone cover) will give you and your raggedy battlejackets a good shake!

An interesting fact: the bassit of the band is the constant frontman of Phobia. It appeared that Shane swings the bass pretty well. What a recreation to hear d-beat bombardment, supported by goodish guitars solos. The guitar riffs are melodious (personally I liked them). A tinge of neo-crust in here, dunno....

The frontal cover art has brought joy to me, made me recall my school years and Manowar tapes, hahaha! Dear friends of mine, this cover art was designed in this very style, epic! I would even say that it leapt from the pages of Robert Howard's novels! Probably, I wouldn't notice this band at all, if Karol hadn't put the promo of this CD in the package.
Thank you, buddy!
