Vulgaroyal Bloodhill/ Sulsa (Soondoongi)

Today two rival Asian countries mount our musical ring: Sulsa from South Korea and Vulgaroyal Bloodhill from Japan. While bands take their operating sites, let’s describe each one in detail… In due order the first one shall be a band which opens the split. Vulgaroyal Bloodhill hold themselves out as new wave of Japanese goregrind which it is, actually. The quartette of blood-stained samurai have brought into being great groove: a grim cocktail of gore, punk and grindcore. Such Hurricane Katrina knocked me dead. I was pleased with variegated sound and composition of those 5 songs, though they aren’t beyond the scope of Vulgaroyal Bloodhill, yeah!
It was the first time I’ve seen the name of Sulsa. There you have it – they play goregrind in South Korea! Sulsa is also a band of four. Hmm… vast majority of their material is classical gore, gore-noisy between times. Their sound is dirty and hard-hitting! This obscurantism pleases the ears. On the whole, I made a great point when I heard these guys, I will keep tabs on their music. Finally, a few words about design and label. Split springs from loins of Korean label - Soondoongi, kept by the bassist of Sulsa. The art is interesting; it seems to be a shot of black-and-white movie. The back is inwrought with Onibaba (a witch).
Of course, not everyone will see the true value of such a simplicity, but I am absolutely satisfied. This is what I say: if you’re beglamorred by goregrind and you take its modern tendencies adequately, you will like this split.

Vulgaroyal Bloodhill – Muerteatroz (Rotten Roll Rex)

There are lots and lots of nice album, but only few you would listen from the beggining to the end. First full-length album of VB is one of the last category. Not an ideal one, have not done any revolution in this genre, it's just good for our ears. From time to time I give it a spin in my player, can't describe even how addictive it is! Like every other gore-freak, guys never hid their passion for dismembered and decomposed bodies. And all this tenderness found it's own way towards the cover art. I have never seen how crocodile is being vivsected and human parts are extracted from it's body cavity, japs got me here this time... Muerteatroz is a debut work of this samurais, guys entitle themself as a goregrind band, there are not too much gore inside, music itself is too punk and grindy with a smell of rotting gore, especially in the vocals. Here you have a d-beats, guitars like a chainsaws and bubbly vocals like a swamp. Almost every song here makes your limbs dance (like any czech band) This debut gathers 30 (!) tracks which would be enjoyed by the various grind freaks, I think everyone would find any good inside. Vulgaroyal Bloodhill tracks have lots of movie samples inside like every other gory band, which reminded me also of Rompeprop, they would have sound like this if they were from Japan... :)

Sadistic Acts Of Depravity - 4 Way Split CD!

Sadistic Acts of Depravity is one of the most sick and perverted splits in 2013! 4 band from every part of the world! Bulgaria, France, Japan and USA. It was released by Mexican label Diablos Rec. And the artwork is one of the things that make this 4-way split really crazy. Pretty disgusting cover, with a lot of worms, dicks, mutant who has vagina instead of mouth... Blood and gore included, hehe) Also I should note that special feature of this split is a gradual increase of speed, from pretty slow to very fast, almost grindcore-style songs! The first band that opens this split is Fecal Body Incorporated, 5 tracks of pretty slow material, one thing that stand out in this fecal disgrace is a really shattering snare sound! Next band is a French guys Vaginotopsy! They introduced to us pretty good porno/goregrind with deep pig squeals and very dancing nature of their songs. These songs was mixed and mastered by Guyome from legendary Pulmonary Fibrosis! Also, Mark from Mixomatosis and Erwin (ex-LDOH) took part in vocal recording. Third band is a representative of Japanese goregrind scene Vulgaroyal Bloodhill! These guys are one of my favorites! Japanese gore is pretty interesting and sounds different than goregrind from another countries. Short intro, and here we go, they just get to it and show us what they have up their sleeves. They were really generous this time, 10 tracks, that's awesome! Great bonus here is using samples from horror movies... And the fourth band is from USA! These guys call themselves Gorged Afterbirth. I can't say i fully enjoyed their stuff, but still it's pretty good goregrind influenced by brutal death metal (sometimes even by this fashionable slamming brutal death), there are guttural, pig squeal and pitched vocals, and it is definitely helps out for music being interesting.
Overall, it's a great release, pretty gross just as you expect, hehe)
