Hello... Thank you for this interview!!! NO, the heat doesnt bother me, i can adapt to pretty much anything, its the way i have always been... the heat is good!!!
You have a lot of gigs planned now, hope it wouldn’t cause much problems with your jobs. Tell our readers about those places that you plan to visit, please.
Well, we all have jobs that pretty much understand what we do, so its ok, if they dont, fuck them, grind must go on!!!... I work for my self, the way it has to be, we just got back from doing 10 shows in mexico and it was awsome and next we will go back to play a fest in texas, last of the year, then next year head out with napalm and voivod in febuary.
She has been in phobia for maybe 4 years now, she was a friend and would help drive and do merch for us, so she has experience on the road with us, we needed a guitar player for a tour, and she played, so calum said
" lets get cc" so we tried it out, and she nailed it, she dont fuck around, she does the job well, and feels better then ever, she is on point and the band is better off!!
And sure we won’t walk by information about your new release, as I remember, it would be 7” EP.
Yes the EP is out, its a 7" format and cd", it has 8 new songs and its titled " grind core"... We are really happy about it, the music is bruta as fuck and really puts the band forward! The cd has re masterd classics means of exestense and destroying the masses on it as well, it has killer art work done by Jasper, so its full and complete!!!
While looking into your discography I noticed a lot of splits and EPs, alas, there’s no compilation of all this songs. Don’t you want to make one in principle, or its time didn’t come yet?)
We are in the making of a full discography now, it will be released on self made god, it will have a lot of Phobia stuff from splits and former releases also a tribute section with awsome bands such as Wormrot, Massgrave, PLF, Lycanthropy, Suffering Mind and more doing Phobia songs, going to be sick!!!
Well... I dont know, growing up my parents were both into music, it was always a round me, in the house at all times, so it has always been a part of my life, ya know?... I think just it being that! I always was fascinated by instruments and loved to play them so it sorta just happend!!!
What goes first: lyrics or music? And who’s writing most of guitar riffs, and who goes for a beer mostly?)
I wrote music first, then I have or I write lyrics, I have always written majority of the music, but now Dorian helps out alot with the writing these days, we are a good team, I think calum goes for the beer, hahahah!!!! I dont drink anymore!!!, but it used to be me all the time!
You sing in Phobia for 24 years, you’ve seen a lot, you literally experienced whole age of underground What do you think about modern underground, is it good or bad?
I dont like it really, to much drama and bullshit, people have no respect and utilize social internet to criticize and start bullshit on line! Back in the days it was few people, but it was real, we wrote to people, we tape traded, we built scenes and networking through personal hand written letters, we booked tours this way, I think it was better,honest and kick ass!!!!! Im not saying that things dont change, I guess Im just old school and jaded in my thinking, get that in my old age, haha.
Of course I dont even like grind core that much, Im an old punker and believe in the punk way pretty much, grind core is just a slang wors, made up work to describe a style of music, punk is a way of life!!! I like old country better then grind core!

‘Cause Bryan and Dorian have a lot of side projects and there may be time shortage because of that. Do you get along fine, or some minor disagreements took place and solved by sitting together with beer?)
No there isnt any, we work well together, never a problem!!!

Yeah i agree for sure, it def evolved from the punks... I have to many and all genres, ya know? These are hard questions!
