G.I. Joke ‎– Discotape (AxRxL)

Holy cow! I did not even realize that GI Joke has already existed more than 10 years… That`s pretty impressive. If I remember correctly the main man in this band is sir Nils (Agathocles), and he is the only unchanged band member… This tape is heritage of his project and of course this nasty tape contains all of the bands records which were made during band activity. 31 songs were collected together, 3 labels released this tape, and many noise maniacs got this tape in theirs collections. Since these songs were out of the head of an AG member, it is quite logical that most of the material sounds pretty close to AG (rhythms, structures, sound etc)… The most prominent is the early material. Yes it has a very dirty sound but these songs are great. Belgian Grind brutality overcrowdeds this discography… barbaric blast beats, raw guitars and disgusting vocals. Nils and his boys did a great job but this stuff totally is not for Nasum fans aahahaha! And one more thing, it is felt that this cassette was recorded by a duplication machine so the sound lost some high and low frequencies (but it's normal for duplicators it's difficult to set up them). By the way at the end of this tape I find one hidden track (good small present for us). Rating: 7.5/10 Official site
