Reeking Cross - Cloaked In Vermin

Who wants some good and fresh noise?) It's pretty hard for me to determine the criteria to evaluate this record, but simply writing about how this tape kicks my ass is not something I want to do. It`s at least not fair. Okay lets start with the fact that Reeking Cross is young (but with not so young members, hehe) international noisegrind band which is not sitting still and creates some new stuff. People from such bands as Enemy Soil & Wadge were involved in this record (I think you already begin to suspect what can be expected from their co-operation? :)) That tape was self-released and it was sold out very quickly (even now many freaks try to find and buy it, so it means something, eh?)) That noise which guys play thru 25 songs is very interesting. First I was thinking that I listen to some kind of experimental powerviolence (those songs contains good number of pv parts) but it goes with grindcore pressure. As for noisegrind there is no ultra-noisy, dirty sound which mess up everything and it differs Reeking Cross from other noise bands. Here everything is quite listenable. I perfectly hear that evil-sounding bass guitar, hellish screams of vocal guy and of course a great job of drummer (I love when in such dirty bands drums are alive and the drummer knows how to play fast and not mess) Well Reeking Cross do not make your ears bleed, but you definitely will love their sick noise!)
