xDELOREANx - Hill Valley Powerviolence (Gozer records)

Today we're going to look at another representative of the new wave hardcore powerviolence genre. xDELOREANx is a very young team (was started in 2014), but it already has a whole bunch of releases. I want to review their first work called "Hill Valley Powerviolence". The first thing that caught my eye was this silly design of the logo, these crosses and all this Infest-like logo shit is really pissing me off, to be honest. But let's skip this point. The idea of front cover looks very cute. Marty McFly and those two transparent characters wearing Bronson and (above mentioned) Infest merch. This release has a very specific "thanks" list that mentions all the guys starting with Robert Zemeckis and ending with the DeLorean Motor Company. This list, and tracks that start with the coolest dialogues from the movie, will bring all the good old memories back. But it is time to figure out what the hell these Italian punks play. This one-side tape has their very first 6 tracks, a little more than 7 minutes in general. I can't say that the guys keep their powerviolence clean and classic. They use wild mixture of pv, hardcore punk and thrashcore... nothing special, but it sounds nice and very familiar. The good old pattern: two different vocals, buzzing guitar (without unnecessary overdrive), drummer doing a good job, and a pleasant sound of bass guitar. And that's what it is like, this young team called xDELOREANx ...
