Oxidised Razor (25.11.13)

Hi, Aaron! Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Tell a few words about a band. How it all started?

Hello Alex, thanks for your attention. Well, we started in 1998. We played in other bands, i played in a obscure black metal band with jhony and other
friends, but we were always more into grind stuff, and we decided to make OxRx, in those times we had other drummer, but he only played with us on some rehearsals and then gone, and then lusi come from other band to help us, and he helped us for 10 years jejeje, now we have a cool line up with new drummer (jhona, our old basssit) and we are communicating with each other a lot more more and getting drunk everytime.

As I recall, the band was named after one of the songs of legendary Carcass. It would be interesting to know your opinion about their reunion and new album.

Really ... I don't really like carcass since heartwork times...

Say, why do goregrind and pornogrind are so popular in Mexico? What do you think about it?

In mexico scene is like a shit, pretentious assholes making bands, that's not serious, just shitty stupid stuff... Some bands are serious and good, but nobody buys original stuff, only download, nobody supports the scene. sad but true...

Also, I know that you’re playing in crustgrind band called Greed and you performed at OEF in your homecountry. Tell us a bit about it, please.

Well, right, GREED is my side band formed in 2011, making oldschool crust hardcore, like doom, shitlikers, avskum, anticimex, totalitar, etc... ( i love this genre, i played hardcore before OxRx exist) and we had the opportunity to play in OE america, it was a normal show.

Could you shed some light on OEF in your country? I heard that there was some troubles… and the organizer were in deep shit((

Well, really i dont know why make this fest here... scene is very little, for a GRIND festival

i know about the problems and that organizer wanted to make it here... now he knows what it's like here...

Time goes by. Band is already 15, congratulations! How do you view the changes in the band for all this years?

Yea, thanxxx,  and sure, there's a lot of changes, in line up for example. anyway, founders  jhony and me, are always to the death with OxRx jajajajja. Well, first we had problems with first drummer, and the next  10 years we had problems with bassist, and finally we change 2 drummers , and now we're like triple drunk combo.

I heard that there’s your split with Necrocannibalistic Vomitorium coming soon. And couple of years ago you released a compilation and EP on vinyl. What label will release your new split and what is your opinion about analog format and digital format?

Yea, the split with NV is ready and limited to 309 pieces, there's 2 new raw songs. Well the first EP of OR is not a compilation , there are all new stuff, and it's sold out now, released 500 pieces only. And the first vinil of OR is an LP. And are first in 13 years as a compilation of 13 years of gore. I like all formats

How much it’s important for a band to release their albums today on CD’s, cassettes and vinyls?

+ yes it really is the essence ,  im a record collector, and i have a label and distro and as time goes by less people are interested in this, big labels only want big bands you know. every scene in the world starting to look more comercial and shitting people.
anyway we stay support real undergorund.

A couple of years ago you performed in Europe. What do you remember about it? How’s the atmosphere of good old Europe?

It was fucking great. the best thing that i did in my life. great people , great gigs. All were great, its very expensive, but it's cool if you know where to buy things. I like all countries that we stayed in, i hope to make a new bigger tour and stay in russia, poland, and other countries.

Most of the time people. playing that kind of music, are pretty calm and kind people. Does that apply to you, or there’s some brutal and psycho maniacs in your band?

Well, haha now i'm calm, i'm married and have kids, but then i was a fuckin alcoholic, haha really sicko. Jhony is calm, but when he's drunk he's totally stupid and jhona is a really a maniac, always in problems, fighting everytime, you know.

What’s the ideal place for your gig?

I love OE in Czech, and also I like little stages a lot.

Also I have to mention the presence of serial killers in your songs and your covers. What makes people go absolutely nuts and slay everyone they see, your opinion? Bad upbringing, troubles in life, something else?

Yes , definitely, it's the troubles in life, i had a fight when i was 21 years, it was literally to the death
now i'm ok, but some people are having very fucked up life, troubles in family, drugs...
Is a hard question because when i was younger i had destructive attitude, you know, i liked to fight a lot,
kick persons... But when you see your life in a flasback, it's never the same... You need to make a
decision about what you want to do... I think.

Every person dreams about something. What’s your dream?

Yes, everyone, i guess. i dream on staying in a very good places/gigs in europe soon. And to keep having good relationship with my family, sure.

Thank you so much for your answers! Would you like to say something afterwards? And huge thanks Aaron!

Thankx a lot alex, and a big hug too. thanks for your attention.
