As you can see, we're not dead yet and still reviewing some cool stuff, hehehe. Today I got a package that contained CD album of an Italian booze-worshippers - Degenerhate! It's a strange feeling for me to hold such colored releases. I amalready used to "grindcore = dark tones, war, famine and other themes like this", and yes, there are well-known gas mask guys, I'm tired even to count how many times I've seen these guys in uniform on different releases, but nevertheless, they look great on an bright olive background.
So, let's get to the CD finally, right? OK, let me just put the CD in the player, 1, 2, 3... Go!
I don't really get an idea of making a long-ass intro and then quickly interrupt it with fast song, I guess I'm getting old, hehe) Reading some info about Degenerhate I found out that they are inspired by old school grindcore (like Napalm Death, Terrorizer etc.) and good ol' death metal (Autopsy, Suffocation). And they did it by the book! In fact, this album starts as fast grindcore and proceeds into a death metal. I've never heard something like this. Here we have Suffocation -style brutality, and rotten stuff themes like Autopsy, and of course, napalm explosions here and there, hehe) Overall this CD has a lot of variety and interesting moments (especially for oldfags, hehe), and it's definitely worth listening to if you're a metalhead))
P.s. Also i highly recommend to check out their video on "Behind the Black Horizon", lady acting there sure will not disappoint you :)
