In the beginning, the band had some touches of death metal into their sound, with the passage of time, the sound became more focused on grindcore, leaving death metal influences increasingly subtle.
The band played numerous concerts throughout the years, including a tour of Brazil in 2011, a mini tour of Chile in 2012 and a tour in Europe in 2012, where in addition to performing in countries like Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic also performed at the biggest grindcore festival in the world, the Obscene Extreme Festival. The Plague Rages has shared the stage with the bands Agathocles, Entrails Massacre, Wojczech, Pulmonary Fibrosis, See You in Hell, Sakatat, FUBAR, Rot and many others.
Over the years the band has undergone several changes in its formation, and since 2010 it has become a quartet, which brought more aggression to the sound of band. The formation is currently Antonio (b / v), Douglas (d), Mane (g / v) and Fernando Neck (v).
From the beginning the band released their material through underground labels and in various formats, with material released in several countries. Currently the band is in the process of dissemination of 3 releases: a split cd with Ukraine Foible Instinct, a full length cd called “Apocalipse Iminente" (inspired by the movie "12 Monkeys") and a full 7 "EP, released in Europe.
